Now I have arrived back from holiday, I am hoping that you will see even more posts on my blog – Of course that means pulling my finger out and getting some cards made, getting even more urgent now as the wedding fair approaches.

Todays card collection is definitely for those who want something different.  With the red background and black velvet and feather embellishment, it definitely has a burlesque feel.  The heart theme running throughout though makes it perfect for those who want to make a bold statement with their wedding invitations

Butterflies galore

A pretty backing paper and lots of butterflies make up this collection.  

Butterflies are always a popular theme and each one has had pearl embellishments added.  The place name is a handmade tag, that can be attached to a glass or a favour box. The invitation has a separate insert and other elements, such as an RSVP card could easily be included.

A twist on tradition

Todays card has a more timeless theme.  It has more traditional flourishes but with addition of embossed layered paper and modern hand stamped words in one of my favourite colours, teal, I think this is a modern twist on tradition

 

A change of colour would change the feel of this card dramatically.  Maybe red for drama or a pastel shade if you want a more subtle feel.

Truly handmade wedding stationary

I wish to provide a personalised service to anyone who is organising that special event. The invitations are the first impression your guests will have of your festivities and should reflect the tone and atmosphere. Here I have made a collection of stationary items that have a retro 70’s feel, with each heart backed by a different paper but all from the same colour palette.

There are many ways you could adapt this design – changing hearts to butterflies – or the backing paper to pattered instead of embossed.
